My love of watercolorsbegan in spring 2011.
A group of us were celebrating a dear friend's birthday in Tuscany. We were staying in a large villa at the top of a hill overlooking the countryside. One of the guests had brought her watercolors and, when learning that I was an artist, she informed me simply: “You will paint with me. You can use all of my paints and brushes and you can use a dinner plate as your palette.” At first I hesitated since I had always worked in oils; but then I complied. We painted most mornings and I created my first watercolor painting “Tuscany Al Fresco” presented below.
